Photo Book Show C
Later this month, Photo Book Show have another exhibition coming up, this time returning to London to be hosted by Create Studios in New England House. We’ve collaborated with the guys before to put on a panel discussion at their B show in Hackney and I’m really pleased to say we’re working with them again on their C show. The format will be pretty similar – a panel discussion with each member choosing a different book from the exhibition to spark up a discussion on photography books. We do though, have a completely new panel for this one!
The panel discussion is on Saturday August 18th, kicking off at 2:30pm. Entry is free and Create Studios are very kindly hosting it for us. They’re at Unit D & E, Level 2 South New England House New England Street Brighton BN1 4GH
On The Panel: Eanna Freeney (The Velvet Cell), Nick Rochowski (Rokov Publishing), Lewis Chaplin (14-19) and Stuart Griffiths (Photographer).

Photoireland Festival | Book and Magazine Fair
PhotoIreland is delighted to present our first Book & Magazine Fair where national and international publishers will showcase their latest publications. The collection on show is open in its conceptual framing and wide in its outreach: it includes photobooks and photo magazines from all over the world, as well as a rich example of contemporary publications focused on Art, Design and Illustration, as part of our interest on Image Culture. For these publishers, the pleasure comes both from the content and from its delivery. The low key handmade fanzine, the postcard-based publication, or the hardcover classic with high production values, all rejoice in the book format. It has been a fantastic opportunity for our team to sieve though the over 500 items that will be on display, and we hope you will share the feeling.

I´ve Zine the Darkness | Galerie dieschönestadt, Halle, Germany
In this exhibition we explore artzines and their aesthetic and political dimension, when looked at as motivation for self-publishing and their production process as do-it-yourself or low-budget products. Artzines go beyond the established business or perception of art. They radicalize positions on art in many ways by creating hopes and expressing critique and are themselves intersections of actual artistic practice. Love and Respect goes out to all Zinsters Keep your eyes open and you will Zine the darkness.
